KLEO

Kleo is a superb scarf, woven with threads dyed in a very particular way. Indeed, the threads of Kleo are dyed following the technique of Ikat. Originally from Indonesia, this technique consists of meticulously tying the threads, then immersing them in different dye baths to create a reserved pattern. This technique requires remarkable skill, and once again illustrates the craftsmanship of the artisans with whom Douce Gloire chooses to work. Beyond its dyeing, the weaving of this piece, done by hand, is also masterful, structuring the scarf and giving it definite texture. Its winter range evokes the colors of a landscape covered by a sun between dog and wolf.

Softness, lightness, and warmth are the qualities that give nobility to products made of cashmere. Cashmere is a down harvested from a breed of goats living at over 3000 m altitude, the Capra Hircus. The down is then cleaned, spun and hand-woven according to traditionally Nepalese know-how. The down then becomes this fine exceptional wool known as cashmere.
